Cirque du Soleil comes to Waterfront City

Cirque du Soleil is pleased to announce its return to Australia with its stunningly visual and spectacularly executed, Dralion! 

The show is set to open in Melbourne on 9 April 2009 at a brand new site in Docklands.

Since its world premiere in Montreal in April 1999, Dralion has been experienced by more than 8 million spectators in 53 cities across the world. It will be the fifth Cirque du Soleil production to tour here, after record-breaking numbers with the most recent tour, Varekai, which performed to over 1 million people across the country. 

Bearing the unmistakable avant-garde signature of Cirque du Soleil and featuring a total of 73 artists from 15 countries - including a house troupe of 36 Chinese performers – Dralion will define new heights of acrobatic creativity with its unique and exciting acts. Of course the crazy and colourful clowns also return, adding more than a touch of madness and audience interaction.
